Tomou posse no cargo de Juiz substituto na 1° Seção Judiciária-Comarca de Porto Velho em 9 de abril de 1999. Como Juiz substituto na comarca de Porto Velho. Em 2002 foi promovido a Juiz de Direito da Vara Única da Comarca de Alta Floresta do Oeste. No ano seguinte assumiu a 2ª Vara Criminal da Comarca de Guajará-Mirim.
